Killam

The Killam Fellowships Program is a unique undergraduate scholarship program, created by the Foundation in an attempt to systematically offer undergraduates in both countries the opportunity to engage in residential academic exchange. The Killam Fellowship program is supported primarily by the American Killam Trusts. It is a living memorial to the Elizabeth Killam Rodgers and Constance Killam.

The program allows extraordinary undergraduate students from accredited degree granting colleges and universities in both countries to participate in a bi-national residential exchange program between Canada and the United States of America. Scholarship recipients spend either one semester or a full academic year as an exchange student in the other country.

Fellowships are offered in two separate competitions: one organized around direct exchanges with a defined set of partner institutions in each country and the other an open competition which allows students for any degree granting institution to compete for an award.
